The borough of the Bronx in New York City is home to vibrant neighbourhoods and to the hip hop movement which began there in the 1970s. Hip hop music, so integral to this part of the city, has no doubt been part of many festivities. It was with this same spirit that the Bahá’í community of the Bronx, supported by the Bronx Museum of Arts, held a dance celebration to mark the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh. People of all ages and backgrounds attended. Guests also had the opportunity to view paintings inspired by the life of Bahá’u’lláh.
