Families in Macedonia are drawing on the arts, especially during the bicentenary of the birth of the Báb, to explore various spiritual qualities. Children, youth, and parents have written such qualities as justice, kindness, love, and unity on banners, stones, and umbrellas, as well as on kites produced by a local kite maker for the bicentenary. The artwork is exhibited in the garden of a local youth center, where families lit handmade lanterns to illuminate the area for an interreligious devotional.
