Bambino school holds celebration for 1,000

A week of student presentations culminated at the week’s end in a school-wide celebration of Bahá’u’lláh’s bicentenary, held with parents and area tribal chiefs. More than 1,000 attended the commemoration at the Bambino school in Lilongwe, Malawi. A group of school teachers organized the weeklong celebration, which began with presentations by students about Bahá’u’lláh. The teachers volunteered to organize the bicentenary celebration for their school after studying about the life of Bahá’u’lláh. The 800-student Bambino school is one of numerous Bahá’í-inspired social and economic development endeavors, many of which are in the area of education.
