Song about the Báb's declaration as “the Promised One”
This song draws on the words of the Báb when He made known that He was the Founder of a new religion that was to prepare the world for the coming of Bahá’u’lláh. “I am, I am, the Promised One! I am the One Whose name you have for a thousand years invoked…,” were the Báb's stirring words to His guest on the night of 22 May 1844. Composed by musicians in Spain, the song also quotes other passages from the Bahá’í writings about the Báb’s illuminating Message.
