Celebrating the bicentenary in the Australian Parliament In the distinguished setting of the Senate Alcove of Parliament House in Canberra, Australia, both the bicentenary of the birth of the Báb and the anniversary of the birth of Bahá’u’lláh were celebrated in an event co-hosted by the Bahá’í community and Member of Parliament Jason Falinski. The occasion was also marked by a letter from Prime Minister Scott Morrison, in which he acknowledged the Bahá’í community’s commitment to creating a harmonious Australia. In the letter, Prime Minister Morrison expressed the hope that the event would offer a moment to reflect on and draw inspiration from the Faith’s teachings, as they united in honor of all that the Báb and Bahá’u’lláh did to enrich humanity. The event was opened by the Sydney Bahá’í Temple choir singing a prayer of the Báb, setting the tone for an event that included talks from MPs, who highlighted the Faith’s world-embracing vision.
