Play about Táhirih performed in southern France This play about Táhirih, the first woman to accept the teachings of the Báb and an influential poet, scholar, and champion of women’s emancipation, was staged at a Bahá’í summer school in southern France and will also be performed for general audiences in theaters in France and Switzerland. The play dramatizes the final period of Táhirih’s life when she was imprisoned and eventually executed for her belief in the Báb and His teachings.
