Helping friends and neighbors in hurricane recovery
An outpouring of support and supplies is helping households in the Bahamas recover from Hurricane Dorian, which struck the islands in August 2019. Drawing on the cohesion born of a community that prays together and is learning, together with their friends and neighbors, to apply spiritual principles to their individual and collective lives, the Bahá’ís of the Bahamas have been able to channel its energies during the bicentenary period to contribute to the disaster relief efforts that are under way in their neighborhoods.
